Are you in a situation where you need to cook and you don't know how to do so? This special section is for those who are new in the cooking field and who are not in a mood to do much. As the name suggests, even kids can cook after reading these recipes.

1 Egg yolk
½ tsp Salt
55 gms Rolled Oats
170 gms Plain Flour
170 gms Castor Sugar
1 tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
55 gms small crunchy Nugget cereal
170 gms Butter, at room temperature

With an electric mixer, cream the butter or margarine and sugar together until light and fluffy. Mix in the egg yolk.
Sift over the flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt, then stir into the butter mixture. Add the oats and cereal and stir to blend. Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.
Preheat a 375 degrees F / 190 degrees C / Gas 5 over. Grease a baking sheet.
Roll the mixture into balls. Place them on the sheet and flatten with the bottom of a floured glass.
Bake until golden, 10-12 minutes. With a metal spatula, transfer to a rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.

Tip: To prepare Self Rising Flour - Mix 4 cups of flour, 2 teaspoons salt, 2 tablespoonsof double acting Baking powder . Store in lightly covered can or jar and use soon.
