Here’s the deal with Chip the koala: you go to her, she doesn’t go to you. So that’s exactly how the BAZAAR crew and the ever-obliging Shanina Shaik found themselves at the Sunshine Coast’s Australia Zoo, working around a schedule to rival any ‘90s supermodel – because when your cover star sleeps 22 hours of the day, you’ve got to get the goods fast. But with that fierce smize, soft grey fur and perfectly manicured nails, there was never any doubt that Chip could deliver a magic moment.
In this month’s issue, BAZAAR’s editor-in-chief Kellie Hush explains why she’s proud to be a part of Australia’s thriving fashion industry. “Our innovation, our isolation, our beauty (and beauties), our uniqueness, and the fact we are thousands of kilometres from the world’s official captials but can, and do, hold our own on the world stage.” This is what team BAZAAR set out to celebrate for the April issue.
