Hi. I wonder if the approach used to cure aids is due to some kind of medical myopia. I have found in curing herpes that the answer is actually attrition. The idea is to inundate the cell in a very large number (billions perhaps) of ascerbic compounds. The cell wall under attack requires the cell to replace and renew parts of the wall. A cascade than forms to create more proteins. Since a sick cell has the viral gene inside, the virus consumes the resources that should be designated for cell repair. Cell ruptures before virus fully formed. Population of virus is decreased. They also now face the same ascerbic environment and are degraded. Those two alone should be sufficient.
