In the original film, Yun Jin plays Yoo Ji Yeon, a lawyer who has never lost a case. While participating in field day activities at her daughter’s school, her daughter goes missing. Later that day, Ji Yeon receives a call from her daughter’s abductor. The abductor gives Ji Yeon instructions to defend a five-time convicted felon who is appealing his convictions. The trial is scheduled to go on for seven days and Ji Yeon has to prove the felon’s innocence within that time. If she fails, her daughter dies.
